中国のハワイと言われる常夏の島、海南島に位置する森林リゾートのサイン計画である。民間ディベロッパーが開発する本施設は、敷地内に森林を残しながら、ホテル、分譲マンション、スポーツ・レジャーを配置し、自然と共存する豊かな余暇空間を形成している。サインは、三世代家族の利用者が多いことを踏まえ、世代を超えてわかりやすく、特に子供に親しみのあるオブジェとし、海南島に生息する動物をモチーフに、折り紙の造形として表現した。広大な熱帯林の中で、訪れる人を迎え入れ案内する役割として、周囲の環境と対比し存在が浮き立つようなデザインとした。
This is a Sign design project in a forest resort area of Hainan Island, China. The zone developed by private developer is consisted of Hotel, Condominium Apartments, Sports and Leisure facilities and Park. There are always many visitors due to warm climates and rich nature and good conditioned facilities.
We used Origami, Japanese folding paper, motif with various animals in Hainan Island as the shape of signage to understand easily for all the generations. We arranged them visibly in the large forest area to welcome and guide guests.
