Takahashi Setsuro Art Museum of Azumino

An art museum accommodating the works of Takahashi Setsuro, a lacquerware artist who received the Order of Culture.
It is located in a region called Azumino in Nagano prefecture, an idyllic and beautiful place. The premises are the house where Takahashi Setsuro was born, including an old residential house and a warehouse. The art museum consists of an old building with a renovated interior, and a newly built building.
The signs were designed to be objective and simple to make sure that they harmonize with both new and old buildings irrespective of the times.
