Yu kiroro is a newly built condominium in a ski resort located in Yoichi-gun, Hokkaido. The condominium consisting of 108 private rooms and common areas is surrounded by virgin forests and visitors can enjoy both relaxation and activities in every season.
Various natural materials such as wood, stone and wall mud were used for interior finishes and that interior creates a blending of comfortable habitability and extraordinary. For the sign design, we used natural wood, black-skinned iron plate and brass to match the interior materials and tried to show items like stage props. Also, we designed those items to be simple as much as possible in order to maximize the material’s character.
